Essential oils are concentrated, hydrophobic liquids that contain aromatic compounds made from plants, mainly through steam distillation. In this process, the raw plants such as seeds, leaves, wood, flowers, bark, roots or peel are prepared (by de-husking, pulverizing, grinding, or flaking), and then placed in a distillation kettle. Then the steam is vaporized from the plant's volatile compounds, which is then turned back into liquid and collected. The final essential oil is then separated, dried, filtered, analyzed, and packed. These oils are considered part of many industries including, flavour, fragrance, aromatherapy, cosmetics, incense, Pharma, home care and air care industries.
